The renovations have begun! On December 5, 2025, the Schuyler County Historical Society started the much-anticipated renovations to the Brick Tavern Museum. The asbestos abatement has now concluded, and the main phase of the renovation will now begin.
The next several months will bring changes to the interior of the Brick Tavern Museum, including the addition of the Annex, which will also house the new elevator providing improved access to the museum. During this time, we ask the public for their patience as we remain closed to the public.
We are working diligently to complete the research library first, so we can open this portion of the museum first. Please click on the Research tab for our updated research policies once we reopen. At this point, we are unable complete research requests until we have complete and regular access to our files and archives. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
